Why I’m building this

"I left school with no qualifications and no sense I had a future. I was a Saturday girl at Asda. My department manager saw something in me I couldn't see myself — and pushed me from Saturday girl to supervisor to a grad place.
That set me on a path from food into fashion, into store management, and into leadership — where I found leading people stressful and lonely. Training was functional, not real support. It was Oxford Summer School that made it click: the leadership skill had been there all along. What I'd been missing was real support.
Headroom exists to close that gap for leaders now. Headfirst exists so the next generation doesn't have to wait as long as I did.”
